President's Council

The mission of the Plymouth State University President's Council is to raise funds for endowments and to develop University resources that will advance the mission and vision of Plymouth State University.

President's Council

The Council held its first meeting in December of 2001 and promptly set a goal to raise $4.5 million for Boyd Science Center, endowments, the performing and visual arts, and campus beautification. Over $7 million was raised from all sources including current and planned gifts. The University received its first-ever million dollar gift to fund a new scholarship endowment for Pell-eligible students living in New Hampshire’s five poorest counties. A bronze statue of Robert Frost seated on a granite bench by American artist George Lundeen was also purchased as part of campus beautification. Other highlights include opening of the Judd Gregg Meteorology Institute and refurbishment of the Silver Center for the Arts and the Strength and Conditioning room at the Physical Education Center.
