New Hampshire Water ConferenceThe second annual New Hampshire Water Conference was held on April 16, 2008 at the Grappone Center in Concord, NH. This year's theme was “Science, Policy, and Management of Water in New Hampshire” with sessions on water, land use, and policy; groundwater withdrawal issues and management; water supply: resource assessment, usage, and needs; and flood forecasting, planning, and response. The conference drew 170 people, including researchers, legislators, water system operators, land use planners, and government officials. Evaluations completed by conference participants indicated that the day provided useful and relevant information. The 2009 conference committee is beginning to plan for the next New Hampshire Water Conference.
