Plymouth State University enjoys an ideal location in northern New England to conduct applied research on a range of issues that pertain to the lakes region and the northern forest. We are close to the Squam Lakes, the White Mountain National Forest; and Hubbard Brook Experimental Forest, the premier ecosystem science watershed program in the world.
The Center serves as a facilitator and focal point for innovative research and training with a sustainability ethic. The M.S. program is field-based, focusing on applied environmental science, policy, and science translation, preparing students for careers in agencies, government, non-profit organizations, consulting firms and further education for academic positions.
