Academic Support

Academic Advising

The Academic Advising program at PSU follows a developmental approach to academic advising. This means that our faculty and staff go beyond outlining courses you need to take and registration. The program adheres to a person-centered approach that integrates these activities, while also clarifying values, providing information about educational options and monitoring your educational progress.

Career Services

The Bagley Center provides effective guidance and a rich body of resources for students and recent alumni as they make their academic and career choices.  The Center offer support to students at each stage of the decision-making process and draw on their gifts for critical analysis, sound judgment and apt expression in assisting them to pursue creative and useful lives.

Lamson Learning Commons

The Lamson Learning Commons is Plymouth State University’s center for academic, technology and research resources.  It represents a collaborative union between library and information technology services placing technology resources like the help desk, multi-media presentation center, equipment rentals and library services all under one roof .

Math Activity Center

The Math Activities Center is a student run help organization. There are peer tutors available at the Center to assist you with questions you may have.

Plymouth Academic Support Services (PASS)

Plymouth Academic Support Services (PASS) collaborates with undergraduate students in becoming efficient, independent learners by incorporating academic counseling, peer tutoring, and services for students with disabilities.

Undergraduate Studies

The Undergraduate Studies Office is available to help students with a variety of topics such as how to transfer credits, general education requirements and curriculum support. 

Writing Across the Curriculum

The Writing Across the Curriculum (WAC) program promotes the use of writing to learn across disciplines, not just in composition or writing courses in English departments. 

Writing Center 

The Writing Center assists all students in improving their writing and reading skills, establish good writing and reading habits, and providing knowledgeable and competent  feedback on writing assignments.
